For the week ending January 20, 2024, the number of U.S. meetings and events decreased 2.9% remaining relatively stable compared to the previous week. Corporate events share volume is up to 69.1%, with Education driving the dominant industry share at 24.2% for the week, followed by the Technology segment at 22.3%, for the top five segments.
The average number of attendees for the week was 78 (compared to 71 the previous week), while the average square footage used was 1,782 per event (compared to 1,584 the previous week), and square feet used per person was up to 23.
The top five segments for the week were: Education, Technology, Healthcare, National Association, and Manufacturing.
